Service Areas
Start with where the building sits. A roof in the Business Park lives in a different setting from a roof downtown or a roof on a small-town square. The service area around Wichita Falls, TX runs from the city's commercial districts out to the towns of Wichita, Archer and Clay counties, and every address gets the same walk-through in the same order.

More About Service Areas
Districts inside the city
The Wichita Falls Business Park spans 525 acres of land for distributors, high-tech firms and manufacturers. The Kemp and Kell corridor follows the expressway that carries U.S. 82-277 across the city. The Taft Boulevard area holds the Midwestern State University campus, and the Midwestern Parkway retail corridor serves shoppers. Downtown and the airport area complete the core.
Nearby towns
North and east are Burkburnett, Iowa Park and Electra. Hail has hit all three in past events: Burkburnett and Iowa Park took baseballs in April 1991, and Electra had fifteen minutes of golf-ball stones in March 1982. To the south and west, Holliday sits about fourteen miles southwest of downtown, and Henrietta, the Clay County seat, lies about twenty miles southeast.
What changes by place
Step one is the highway. U.S. 287, U.S. 82, U.S. 277 and U.S. 281 serve or pass through the city, so crews reach most areas without much trouble, and distance changes the schedule more than the method, and Interstate 44 ends its run at the western terminus in Wichita Falls. Step two is the building: a small-town retail strip, a farm-service building and a school each need their own plan. What it means for you is a response that starts with your address, not a generic route, and even a long drive ends with the same written report.
What every area shares
Heat. A normal year runs about 28 days at 100 degrees. Storms too: the 1979 tornado hit the city's south and east sides. History is context, never proof of damage on a given roof.
The same three checks apply in every place. Look at the drains and the ponding line. Look at the seams and flashings, where the wind gets its grip, then at the penetrations. A building in Henrietta and a building on Kell Boulevard share the same physics, and the visit begins the same way, with the roof age, the building's use and whatever leak you have noticed.
